The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) made this announcement in a press release on Friday, confirming the new venue for the match, scheduled from October 15 to 19.
The change in venue is due to ongoing preparations at the Karachi stadium for the upcoming ICC Champions Trophy, set to take place next year. Along with Karachi, the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore and Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium will also host matches during the prestigious tournament.

PCB Director – International, Usman Wahla, expressed excitement about welcoming the England men’s cricket team back to Pakistan. “Despite minor adjustments, we are committed to providing a memorable tour for fans and ensuring the highest standards of hospitality. We look forward to a fiercely competitive Test series,” Wahla said.

Last month, Karachi was also slated to host a Test match between Pakistan and Bangladesh, but the game was shifted to Rawalpindi due to similar logistical concerns.

Both teams are set to arrive in Multan on October 2 for their respective preparations. Pakistan, currently struggling in the World Test Championship (WTC) standings, sit in eighth place with 16 points, having won only two out of their seven matches. Shan Masood’s side will be eager to turn their fortunes around after a disappointing 2-0 defeat to Bangladesh, marking the second time they’ve been whitewashed at home.
